Premium auditors conduct insurance premium audits for workers compensation, general liability, and garage liability policies. Audits are completed by verifying policyholders’ business operations, reviewing policyholder financial records and determining the correct exposures and classifications based in industry standards. Auditors prepare detailed reports of audit findings.


Duties/Responsibilities

Provide timely and high-quality premium audits associated with workers’ compensation, general liability, and garage policies. PCRM offers three methods of audits and assignment types can vary and change based on client needs, availability for each is required.

  • Physical – on site person to person in depth audits – travel to physical policyholder locations required.
  • Virtual – meets the same in-depth requirements as a physical audit but information is gathered remotely via phone, email and secure portal folders.  Work from home.
  • Mail/Telephone audit – limited complexity audits completed remotely. Work from home.

PRCM retains the discretion to add or change the duties of the position at any time.


Qualifications

  • Minimum of one years’ experience in premium auditing and/or business, accounting, insurance, or finance related fields.
  • Bachelor’s degree, related business experience and/or Industry designation such as APA, CIPA or CPCU preferred.
  • Professional conduct, exceptional interpersonal skills, and attention to detail
  • Strong math, analytical and interpretive skills.
  • PC literate including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to organize, manage and travel within an assigned territory (generally 50 mile radius) and work independently with limited supervision.
  • Availability during normal weekday business hours.
  • Candidates must reside within the designated territory.
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license and in force automobile insurance.

Job type

Contract – Premium auditors are paid as 1099 contractors with average earnings between $20-$50 per billable hour with some audit methods billed on a per audit basis.
